Deriving pleasure from PMLN-PTI row: Zardari

LAHORE: Former president and Co-chairman Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Asif Ali Zardari Thursday said he was deriving pleasure from the feud between Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

During his meeting with the party workers from Faisalabad Division, Zardari called the PTI chief Imran Khan a water bubble in the context of Pakistani politics. “Some other forces have put their weight behind Imran Khan to make him stand,” he added.

However, he said both PTI and PML-N share the same ideology.

Zardari said he chose to adopt the path of reconciliation for the country’s interest and the cause of democracy.

“When the time comes, I would prove that People’s Party is Pakistan biggest party,” he claimed, adding, PPP had a vote bank in the past and it continues to have it even today.

He vowed to make PPP the Punjab’s best political party.
