ISLAMABAD: Opposition leader in the National Assembly, Khursheed Shah has sought a three month extension from the Supreme Court for appoint of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC).
Khursheed Shah on Tuesday submitted his reply in the Supreme Court on the appointment of the CEC. The reply states that the CEC’s appointment is constitutional and consultations are underway.
On October 14, the Supreme Court had ordered the government to fill the position of CEC by October 28.
