Rescue sources said that five people were killed and 16 injured in the accident which took place near Faizpur Interchange.
The sources said that the accident occurred when a bus collided with another as its drive lost control of the vehicle after one of its tyres burst.
The dead and injured were moved to nearby hospitals for medico-legal formalities and treatment. Their identities were yet to be known.
