ABU DHABI: Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat in the first Test match against New Zealand here at Sheikh Zaid Stadium, Geo News reported.
Pakistan have retained the winning team that whitewashed Australia 2-0.
Pakistan captain Misbah-ul-Haq, after winning the toss, said the morale of the players was high following massive win against Australia.
The green-shirts and Kiwis have played 20 series, of them Pakistan have won 13 while New Zealand achieved success in only two.
The last time Kiwis defeated Pakistan in 1985.
