QUETTA: A thirteen-year-old was killed and 25 people injured in a blast on Double Road here on Tuesday.
Police said the blast occurred when the vehicles of an ATC judge and DSP Shalkot were passing through the area. The ATC judge and DSP were unharmed in the blast. Two security personnel deployed for the judge’s security were injured when a vehicle of his convoy was damaged due to the blast.
The blast left a 13-year-old dead and two of the 25 people injured are in critical condition.
Police said the bomb was planted in a car parked on Double Road. The blast damaged ten vehicles and several shops in the area. Police, rescue teams and FC reached the site of the blast and the injured were shifted to Civil Hospital.
The Governor and Chief Minister Balochistan have condemned the blast and a report has been summoned from the province’s IGP.
