NEW YORK: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said Kashmir Issue can never reach a peaceful solution without taking Kashmiris on board, urging inclusion and participation of Kashmiri leadership in efforts for the solution of decades’ long core row between Pakistan and India, Geo News reported.
“OIC, the most powerful body of Islamic countries, has also stressed upon concrete and meaningful steps to settle this long standing dispute peacefully”, he reminded.
Prime Minister Azad Kashmir, Sardar Attique has feared that delay in settlement of Kashmir Issue could lead to ‘Atomic War’ in the region.
Shah Mehmood addressed the annual meeting of Rabita Group of Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) in New York on late Wednesday.
He said Indian leadership has been informed about the gravity of involvement of real stakeholders of the row, who are none other than Kashmiri people and who must be taken on board in reaching any possible solution on the issue acceptable for them.
Organization’s Secretary General Akmaluddin Ahsan Oghlo on the occasion said, Kashmir being 63-year-old dispute needs not lip services instead meaningful and concrete actions are need of the hour.
“Clouds of Atomic War continue to loom over region if this longstanding dispute has failed to reach any peaceful solution soon according to wishes of Kashmiris”, Sardar Attique: the Premier AJK told meeting.
