Zardari sends Rs1 bln notice to Hashoo Group

KARACHI: Former president, Asif Ali Zardari has sent a legal notice of Rs1 billion to Sadruddin Hashwani over leveling allegations in his book.

The notice warns Hashwani to take away the books from the bookstalls within 14 days, failing which the court of law will be approached, said PPP spokesman Farhatullah Babar in a statement on Sunday.

He said a notice has also been sent to an Indian publisher of the book titled ‘The Truth Always Prevails’.

Farhatullah Babar dubbed the book as an attempt to deal a blow to the reputation of Asif Ali Zardari. “The book contains statements made without proper investigation and verification,” he added.
