KARACHI: A gang war accused involved in 40 murders was killed on Thursday in a police encounter on Napier Road in Karachi.
According to police sources, the encounter took place in the old city area of Napier Road in which the accused was severely injured. He succumbed to his injuries while being transported to the hospital.
The accused was identified as 25-year-old Nabeel who was wanted in connection with 40 murder cases, police claimed. He was also involved in extortion and other crimes and was the member of the Baba Ladla group of Lyari gang war.
Arms were also recovered from his possession.
Another accused Husnain was also arrested during the encounter after being injured.
In a separate encounter in Kalakot area of Lyari, another gang war accused was also killed. The deceased was identified as Irfan Malik aka Kalu. He was involved in target killings, according to the police.
