One more child dies at DHQ hospital Sargodha

SARGODHA: One more child died at District Headquarters (DHQ) Teaching Hospital allegedly due to lack of facilities and negligence of the administration, Geo News reported.

The number of children, died at the hospital in five days, has reached to 19.

Hospital sources said the deceased child was born at home and was shifted to DHQ in critical condition.

The sources added that 22 newborn babies are undergoing treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the DHQ.

The parents of the deceased infants alleged that the deaths occurred due to the sheer negligence of the hospital administration.

They alleged that there was no arrangement of oxygen at the hospital and unavailability of any senior doctor resulted in the deaths of children.
