KARACHI: Chairman Bahria Town, Malik Riaz Thursday announced to establish universities in the two major cities of Sindh – Karachi and Hyderabad.
Addressing a press conference along with Governor Sindh Dr Ishrat ul Ebad here, Malik Riaz said the universities will be named after Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief, Altaf Hussain.
He said the fee charged from the students will be much less than what they have to pay in state-run universities.
Malik Riaz said the construction of a university would be started in Karachi next month and announced that ‘martyrs’ of MQM will be given plots in his Bahria Town.
He told the media men that a hospital was being constructed in Bahria Town.
Malik Riaz and Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ebad announced rewards of Rs 10 million and 5 million respectively for the National Hockey Team on remarkable performance in the Asian Games.
