KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain has said that people of Hyderabad were deprived of higher education for many years, however, the youth of the city could get education without any fear now, Geo News reported.
Addressing MQM workers and leaders in Lal Qila Ground in the wee hours of Sunday, Altaf Hussain said education is the ‘ornament’ of the nation.
Altaf Hussain termed former president General (retd) Pervaiz Musharraf’s tenure as the best and said he was ousted through conspiracy. He said development was recorded during the time of General Ayub Khan, but the best tenure was that of Musharraf.
He said whenever, there was military government, it gave Local Bodies System, adding that LB elections never held in democratic tenure.
MQM chief said amendment should be made in the constitution to include honest persons from the military for supervision of civilian government.
