Protest can be canceled if talks resumed: Qureshi
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) vice chairman, Shah Mehmood Qureshi Tuesday proposed resumption of dialogue with the government and hinted at calling off the PTI’s scheduled protest if talks were resumed.

Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has expressed agreement on Shah Mehmood Qureshi’s suggestion.

He said if talks are held on December 6, then his party chief Imran Khan can be requested to cancel the protest scheduled for December 8 in Faislabad.

Accepting the proposal, the Finance Minister said the government was ready to hold negotiations with PTI. However, he said, the date of the talks can be confirmed after consulting the matter with the Prime Minister.
