PTI supporters attack Geo News team covering Faisalabad event

FAISALABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) supporters misbehaved with Geo News’ Anchorperson Maria Memon and tortured the cameraman when they arrived outside former Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah’s residence.

The PTI supporters launched an attack on Geo News’ DSNG van in an attempt to stop them from covering the developments. The supporters tore the channel branding from the news gathering van and spray-painted the van with slogans against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and obscenities against the news network.

PTI supporters surrounded the Geo News DSNG just a few yards short of Rana Sanaullah’s residence. Imran Khan’s tigers threw water bottles at Maria Memon and rained sticks on the cameraman injuring him.
