KARACHI: Army troops assumed the security responsibilities at the central jails of Karachi, Hyderabad and Sukkur in a bid to step up the security due to the presence of high-profile death-row inmates.
According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the decision to beef up security at the above prisons was taken in the backdrop of ongoing executions and security threats.
The people have been asked to keep an eye on suspicious persons and inform about any activities of terrorists on the army helpline 1135.
