Multan ATC issues death warrant for Ghulam Shabbir
MULTAN: A special Anti-Terrorism Court of Multan has issued death warrants for implementing the capital punishment awarded to Ghulam Shabbir alias Doctor in 2002.

Ghulam Shabbir, who remains incarcerated in New Central Jail, had been declared a convict for murdering DSP Anwar Khan and his driver.

He will be hanged till death at 6 AM on January 7.

An affiliate of a banned outfit, Ghulam Shabbir, had gunned down DSP Anwar Khan and his driver Ghulam Murtaza on Bohar Gate Road on August 4, 2000.

He was handed down the death sentence by a special Anti-Terrorism Court on June 21, 2002 which was later upheld by the Supreme Court.

Another death row convict, Ahmed Ali alias Sheesh Naag, will also be hanged in central jail on January 7, 2015. He had killed three persons on Railway Road, Multan on January 7, 1998.
