KARACHI: Four persons, including 3 policemen, lost their lives in separate incidents of violence in different parts of the metropolis on Thursday.
According to police, unidentified armed men shot and injured two policemen in Nazimambad 3 area. Both the cops were being rushed to a nearby hospital but they succumbed to their wounds on the way.
The deceased cops were later identified as Bughio Khan and Abdul Bari.
The latest killing of two policemen mounts the tally of dead cops from two days of violence in the city to 6.
In another incident of firing, a man named Suleman Rizvi breathed his last when armed assailants opened fire on a mechanic shop in Paposh Nagar area. Suleman had to come to the shop to get his motor cycle fixed.
A policeman, Amir, from Special Branch was gunned down upon resisting a robbery in Orangi Town area near Banaras bridge. Another man Danish sustained injuries in the incident and shifted to a hospital for treatment.
