In Lyari, two policemen were killed in an attack on a check post in Musa Lane.
Police said four gangsters fired gunshots at a Madadgar 15 check post, killing constables Saeed Akbar, 40, and Niaz Hussain, 42.
Both policemen suffered multiple bullet wounds and died on the way to a hospital.
A traffic constable was killed in Malir while two other people were shot dead in Gulberg and Korangi areas of the city.
