CHAMAN: A five-year-old boy was killed and eight people were injured in a blast on Taj Road, police said on Sunday.
According to police, the blast was so intense that it was heard far off areas of the city and shattered window panes of near by buildings.
The police said that some motorcycles and cars parked near the site of the blast were also damaged.
Rescue workers shifted the injured to the Civil Hospital Chaman for treatment. The police said they had launched an investigation into the incident. Nature of the blast was yet to be ascertained.
