All eight people rescued as roof of hotel collapsed in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI/LAHORE: All eight people have been rescued as a roof of a two-story hotel caved in, near Chaklala bridge in Rawalpindi.

They were trapped under the debris since a while as rescue efforts were underway.

According to details, the incident took place in Sher Dil market, where the local people and the rescue teams carried out rescue work.

The injured were rushed to nearby hospitals.

Meanwhile in Lahore's New Anarkali Bazaar (market), the roof of a three-story building collapsed, trapping several people under the debris.

Six people have so far been rescued from the rubble.
