Former CJP says PTI should not have been allowed to attend Joint Session
ISLAMABAD: Former Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice (R) Iftikhar Muhammed Chaudhry says Imran Khan’s return to the National Assembly negates his own statements.

Speaking to the media on Monday after attending a funeral in Islamabad, Chaudhry said constitutionally PTI’s resignations have been accepted, adding that PTI members should not have been allowed to attend the Joint Session of Parliament.

On the matter of the judicial commission to investigate alleged rigging in the 2013 general elections, Chaudhry said the ordinance has been issued but it would have been better if it wasn’t created through an ordinance but rather an ‘Act’.

He said everyone must wait to see what allegations Imran Khan presents regarding allegations.

The former Chief Justice said, Pakistan should debate on whether sending troops to Saudi Arabia but added that every child of Pakistan is ready to defend the two holy mosques.
