RAWALPINDI: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Pervez Rashid on Sunday described attacks on Mosque as inhuman act.
Addressing a Dastarbandi ceremony for Hafiz-e-Quran here, the Information Minister said the aim of stamping out terrorism is not only to secure the future of our own children but also to ensure a safe Pakistan for the children of the terrorists.
He said his links to the Madaressas (seminaries) is four decades old, stressing that it is the duty of religious Ulema to spread the teachings of Quran.
Pervez Rashid even cricket in Pakistan suffered greatly at the hands of terrorism. “The Attack on Sri Lankan team in Lahore brought a bad name to Pakistan,” he added.
He said terrorism destroyed the society at every level, emphasizing that the war against terrorism has to be won.
Later, the Information Minister performed the Dastarbandi for 60 Hafiz-e-Quran and also distributed certificates.
