48 Madressahs involved in ‘suspicious activities’: Sharjeel
KARACHI: Sindh Information Minister, Sharjeel Inam Memon, Thursday said 48 Madressas (seminaries) have been found involved in ‘suspicious activities’.

He was briefing the media persons following a meeting of the Apex Committee held under the chairmanship of Sindh Chief Minister, Qaim Ali Shah.

He said the meeting decided to undertake steps towards stopping the lines of terrorists. Strict action will also be taken against land grabbers, illegal hydrants, extortion, forcible collection of Fitra and animal hides, and illegal sale of petrol.

Sharjeel Memon said the meting also decided to deal with the issue of ghost employees.

He said funds are being transferred to terrorists through Hundi while some bank accounts being used for the purpose have also been identified.
