Four policemen killed in Quetta firing

QUETTA: Gunmen attacked a police mobile here on Saturday resulting in the death of four policemen.

Police said the attack took place in the Pashtoonabad area of the city during the routine patrol of the police mobile.

Gunmen riding motorcycles opened fire resulting in the death of Sub-Inspector Ali Muhammad, Constables Attaullah, Abdullah and driver Abdullah. The bodies of the deceased were shifted to the Civil Hospital.

CCPO Quetta Abdul Razzaq Cheema said the terrorists involved in the attack could not be identified but the police will be successful in finding them.

The funeral prayers for the deceased policemen were offered at the Police Lines.

The attack was condemned by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and President Mamnoon Hussain. Chief Minister Balochistan Dr Abdul Malik Baloch has summoned a report of the incident.
