Asif Zardari terms federal budget anti-poor
ISLAMABAD: Former president and Co-chairman Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Asif Ali Zardari while branding the federal budget 2015-16 as anti-farmer and anti-poor said the government retreated from its decisions made in all parties conferences (APCs).

Reacting to the budget proposals announced by the Finance Minister Ishaq Dar on Friday, Asif Zardari said the budget has even ignored the government employees and the incentives have only announced for the rich.

“The federal budget has left the poor to depend only on prayers,” he regretted, adding, the labour and working classes were also left to feel frustrated.

He said the budget fails to put forth any plan with an aim to bring about tax reforms and documentation of the economy.

The PPP Co-chairman said the government even failed to bring down prices of petroleum products. “This budget appears to have been prepared by accountants,” he added.
