N-League’s Taman Butt arrested, bailed during Gujranwala re-polling

GUJRANWALA: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Taman Butt was released on bail hours after being arrested for threatening police during re-polling in Punjab Assembly’s constituency PP-97 on Sunday.

A case was registered against Butt in Gukhar Mandi police station. Police got the bail for the accused in great haste just as it showed in his arrest.

Butt was first presented before a local judge who refused to hear the case. The judge remarked that he would not hear the case as it was not that important. He wondered as to why police was in such a hurry.

However, the police presented the accused before the Magistrate Wasim who granted bail against Rs50,000 surety bonds.
