Man killed in alleged police encounter in Orangi Town

KARACHI: A man identified as Sajid Ishaq was killed in an alleged police encounter in Orangi Town area of Karachi on Monday.

According to details, family members of the deceased held protest demonstration against the murder outside the Karachi Press Club.

Family members said Ishaq had been arrested on July 3 after that they staged a protest demonstration.

They said the family had submitted application with the Director General (DG) Rangers and Chief Justice Sindh High Court, expressing concern that the detainee might be killed in custody.

Shahzad, a brother of deceased,has accused the police of killing Sajid Ishaq in an staged encounter.
