Robbers kill two on resistance in Karachi

KARACHI: Armed robbers gunned down two people over resistance in Korangi 1½ late on Monday night.

According to SSP Korangi, Ibrar Hussain, deceased Muhammad Shahid and Ali were getting into their car when unidentified armed men shot them when they showed resistance on looting.

He said Shahid was working for a Lahore-based private company and had arrived Karachi a few days back while Ali was resident of Korangi. Both were invited by their relative on dinner.

The bodies were shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for legal formalities.

Meanwhile, police have arrested a dacoit in injured condition and his accomplice managed to flee after exchange of fire in Guslistan-e-Johar Block 19.

SSP Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Abid Qaimkhani said police have recovered arms and stolen objects from possession of the arrested robber.
