Two killed, 5 injured in DHA car accident

KARACHI: Two young men lost their lives while five others were injured early on Tuesday morning in Karachi’s posh Defence Housing Authority when a pickup truck and a car collided on a one-way track in Phase 8.

According to police officials, the incident took place near the Moin Khan Cricket Academy in Phase 8, DHA. The deceased and injured were rushed to Jinnah Post Graduate Medical Complex (JPMC) where 25-year-old Shamoon and Hammad were pronounced dead while Saif, Shahid and Muqeem were given medical treatment.

The police have launched an investigation into the accident and are as yet unsure which of the two vehicles was driving the wrong way on a one-way track.
