LAYYAH: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Tuesday visited flood hit areas of Layyah district, directing the authorities concerned to discharge their duties or else quit their jobs.
The chief minister got angry when he visited a hospital in the district, running out of staff and medicine. He said those who were wasting people’s money would be held accountable. “Anybody who wants to live in Punjab will have to work,” he said.
He deplored that the government spent millions of rupees on the hospital, but still it was without staff and machinery.
Shahbaz Sharif warned that he would sack the secretaries who didn’t deliver.
