ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has strongly condemned a suicide attack in Attock that killed at least 10 people including Punjab Home Minister Shuja Khanzada today (Sunday).
In a statement issued by the Prime Minister House, Sharif said the “brave nation’s sacrifices in war against terrorist will not go to waste”.
"May Allah rest all those killed in the suicide attack in peace,” he said. He asked security forces to continue their efforts till the last terrorist is eliminated.
He expressed resolve that his government with the nation’s unity and resolve will keep hunting down terrorists.
A former army-man and commander of the National Action Plan (NAP) against terrorist in Punjab province, retired Colonel Shuja Khanzada was among at least 10 people killed in the suicide bombing in Shadi Khan village in Attock district.
Rescue workers and army personnel still trying to rescue several people trapped under the rubble of the destroyed office building.
