Lt Gen (retd) Hameed Gul laid to rest in Rawalpindi
ISLAMABAD: Former Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) chief, Lieutenant General (Retd) Hameed Gul has been laid to rest in Race Course graveyard, Rawalpindi on Sunday.

His funeral prayers were offered at Race Course Ground and was attended among others by Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif.

Chief of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-S (JUI-S) Samiul Haq, Chief of Jamaat-ud-Dawa Hafiz Saeed, Federal Minister Abdul Qadir Baloch and President of Azad Kashmir Sardar Yaqoob were also present besides high ranking military officials, leaders of various political parties and members of civil society.

Later, Lt Gen (retd) Hameed Gul was laid to rest here in Race Course graveyard.

The former ISI chief died of brain hemorrhage on Saturday at the age of 79.
