Ayaz Sadiq continues to appear as Speaker on NA website

ISLAMABAD: Despite de-notification by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), Ayaz Sadiq continues to appear as Speaker National Assembly on the lower house’s official website.

The ECP has not only de-notified Ayaz Sadiq as a Member of National Assembly but also declared his constituency NA-122 as vacant.

Ayaz Sadiq cannot, in the absence of a stay order from the Supreme Court where he intends to challenge the verdict of Election Tribunal, continue to show himself as holding the office of Speaker NA.

Perhaps, the NA secretariat is still unaware of the latest official developments.
