NEW YORK – Sami Ibraham: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has issued India serious warning against meddling into Pakistan’s internal affairs, adding that Indian External Affairs Minister SM Krishna can hold meeting anytime suitable for him but Kashmir and Siachin can never be scrapped out from list of longstanding issues, Geo News reported Monday.
Talking to reporters in New York, Qureshi said: “We have not placed any condition during meeting with SM Krishna, he can hold talks anytime he feels like suitable but issues like Kashmir, Siachin and water cannot be left out untouched.”
Krishna retaliated to Qureshi’s comments by calling Qureshi's remarks a diversionary tactic by Pakistan to draw attention away from its own internal security issues.
Qureshi also appeared hopeful for meeting with US officials soon, adding that we will take up Dr. Aafia’s sentencing on the occasion.
NATO has not been mandated to extend military strikes on soil of Pakistan, he said, saying, “We have registered strong protest against NATO strikes on Pakistani land.”
“I have invited US President Obama on Pakistan visit”, he informed.
