Zardari, Imran condemn attack on Geo News team

KARACHI: Political leaders have strongly condemned a terrorist attack on Geo News Digital Satellite News Gathering (DSNG) van in Karachi and demanded immediate arrest of the culprits.

Former president Asif Ali Zardari condemned the attack in which senior satellite engineer Arshad Ali Jafri was killed and driver Anees sustained injuries.

He demanded immediate arrest of the perpetrators and said that a committee should be formed to probe into the incident.

Condemning the incident, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan said attacks on media including TV channels were unacceptable.

It is unacceptable to have the media, including TV crew members being attacked when they are simply doing their job.
