KARACHI: Police have arrested three members of a 10-member gang allegedly linked to a proscribed organization that the officials say was involved in attacks on police in New Town and Nazimabad areas of the metropolis.
According to police sources, the group that was involved in attacks on police in districts East and Central has been identified.
The weapons which were used in the attacks on police in New Town are identical to the ones used in Nazimabad attack and other crimes, sources said.
Policemen Pervez and Abdul Ghaffar were killed with the help of same weapons in New Town.
Investigation officials said the accused is affiliated to a banned organization. They further said that suspects identified as Bilal and Baba provided weapons to the target killers to carry out attacks on police.
Police is carrying out raids to arrest seven suspects including Baba and Bilal.
