LAHORE/GUJRANWALA: Protests were held in the Pakistani cities of Lahore and Gujranwala against Indian extremist group Shiv Sena.
The protest in Lahore was held outside the Gaddafi Stadium where slogans in favour of Shahryar Khan and Najam Sethi were chanted.
In Gujranwala residents protested in Satellite Town against Shiv Sena’s storming BCCI headquarters prior to a meeting between cricket officials from India and Pakistan.
Protesters said threats issued by Shiv Sena to PCB Chairman Shahryar Khan and umpire Aleem Dar along with the murder of Muslims was condemnable. They added that Hindu extremists had made it near impossible for Muslims to live in India.
Protesters also demanded that the international community take immediate steps to provide security to minorities in India.
