• Voters deserve a President who will respect their inherent individual rights.

• Our democracy is functionally broken under a two-party system.

• The United States should take the lead in engendering peace both at home and abroad.

Activism

Oliver’s political career began as an activist opposing America’s war on Iraq. His advocacy for the cause was so strong that he ended his support of Barack Obama after the former president continued the US's offensive on Iraq.

Oliver spoke at the Atlanta City Council meeting on May 15, 2023, to oppose Cop City. He highlighted the impending distrust between people, their governments and police forces. He also called to improve existing training facilities and opposed the cutting of forests that were public open spaces.

In September 2023, Oliver spoke against the obstacles people face while feeding the poor at the Columbia South Carolina City Council meeting. He advocated for homeless Americans to be fed and supported by the Columbia City Council.

Rise in Politics

Oliver joined the Libertarian Party in 2010 and the party usually gets 1% of the national vote in general elections. The party promotes civil liberties and small governmental structures.

Oliver ran for elected office in 2020 for Georgia’s 5th Congressional District election receiving only 2% of the votes. In 2022, he ran in the general election for the US Senate in Georgia and received 2.1% of votes as Democrat Raphael Warnock won 49.4% votes and Republican Herschel Walker secured 48.5% votes. The two progressed to a run-off election.

Oliver has been extensively campaigning for the upcoming election including a visit to Iowa and participated in a presidential candidate debate hosted by the Free and Equal Elections Foundation.

Claudia De la Cruz, a nominee of the Party for Socialism and Liberation, Green Party candidate Jill Stein, Jasmine Sherman, and Libertarian Lars Map stead participated in the debate as well.
