New Mexico

New Mexico is situated in the southwestern region of the United States. It is bordered by Colorado to the north, Texas to the east, Mexico (specifically the states of Chihuahua and Sonora) to the south, and Arizona to the west. The state became the 47th state to join the Union in January 1912.

New Mexico has been a key battleground in some presidential elections. Voters in this state have supported both Democratic and Republican candidates over the years. Democrats have won in seven of the last eight presidential elections. In the most recent election, Joe Biden defeated Donald Trump with approximately 54% of the vote compared to Trump’s 44%.
